Egypt’s armed forces announced the killing of 10 suicide bombers, 6 terrorists and the destruction of two car bombs in northern and central Sinai on Sunday, UAE state-news agency WAM reported.
The Egyptian armed forces said in a statement that two officers and two soldiers were killed during the clashes and the clearing of terrorist strongholds, while one officer and three soldiers were wounded. Security forces also arrested 245 suspects and destroyed 145 terrorist shelters and weapons caches.
The statement also said that the Egyptian Air Force discovered and destroyed 11 vehicles loaded with weapons and ammunition while trying to penetrate the western border. (Arab News)
