CM says collective efforts needed to tackle corruption

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat participated in at a function organized by the students’ union of  DAV (PG) College. He inaugurated the ‘Jio Wi-Fi service in the college. He also sanctioned eduset, smart classes and released the news -letter of the college.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that  students’ union function was entertaining and hoped that academic session would also be good. He called upon the student community for collective efforts to making state corruption free.  He said future of youngsters can be secured only when state become corruption free. The Chief Minister said that the state government has checked institutional corruption in the state. He said 20 officials involved in NH -74 land compensation scandal were sent to jail and action is being initiated against 2000 persons who have taken government jobs with the help of fake documents.

 The Chief minister said that the government has earned profit of Rs 200 in power sector, while Rs 150 crore revenue was generated in transport department, and a target has been set up to make it to Rs 400 crore in the next year.  The revenue of state has also increased by nearly 28 percent in mining sector. He said the year 2018 would be celebrated as “Employment Year” in the state.

State Higher Education Minister, Dr Dhan Singh Rawat, MLA Ganesh Joshi, BJP leader Sunil Uniyal Gama, DAV (PG) College Principal Dr Devendra Bhasin, Students Union chairman Shubham, general secretary Akash Gaur and Ashish Rawat, were present during the function.
