Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat met Mr Shyam .R. Singhania, chairman of R.N. group at his residence on Saturday. The Chief Minister requested Mr Singhania to come forward in constructing ropeway from Gaurikund to Kedarnath and other ropeways in the state. He said that green technology is helpful in making roads and tunnels to protect environment in the state.
The Chief Minister said that his government aims at making Kedarnath as an international smart religious place. Kedarnath temple attracted four lakh pilgrims while 24 lakh pilgrims visited Badrinath in 2017. The Chief Minister said that with installation of ropeway, the number of pilgrims to Kedarnath could go up to a million. He further said that facilities are being provided on the pedestrian trek to Kedarnath and doctor at each one kilometer of stretch in deployed.
The Chief Minister said that a laser show entitled “ Adi Anant Shiv’ will be held at the time of opening of portals of Kedarnath temple. The appearance of Lord Shiva would be depicted through the Laser show presentation. He expected that Mr Singhania with his team will visit Kedarnath. He also asked Mr Singhania to prepare a plan to make housing material from rice barn residue and hoped that such technique could be useful for the state.
During his meeting, Mr Shyam. R. Singhania gave proposals regarding green technologies to build roads, treatment in disaster affected areas and construction of ropeways to the Chief Minister. Mr Singhania said that besides starting a senior citizen complex at Haridwar, he plans to start a residential school based on Gurukul system of Indian culture for girls up to 12th class. He urged the Chief Minister to provide suitable land for the purpose at Haridwar. The Chief Minister directed the Haridwar District Magistrate to do the needful.
The advisor to the Chief Minister Narendra Singh, Naveen Baluni, Haridwar District Magistrate Deepak Rawat, Chief Engineer, PWD H.K. Upreti, Deep Srivastava from R. N. Group, Ajay Gupta, Adarsh Singh Tanwar and D. Nariman,were present.
