Dehradun: Forest & Wildlife Environment & Minister Dr. Harak Singh Rawat on behalf of CM representative flagged off the 60 member team of Uttarakhand Yuva Manch from Chandigarh for Nag Tibba trek. The objective of the trekking team is to promote cleanliness campaign, environment and adventure sports in the state. The team will trek around Nag Tibba from May 11 to 13.
Environment Minister Dr Harak Singh Rawat said that in Dev Bhoomi Uttarakhand, there is congenial environment for tourism, trekking and other adventure sports. The natural scenic beauty of Uttarakhand attract tourists to visit the state. He said that with strengthening Char Dham All Weather Road, Rail and Air connectivity, the tourism in Uttarakhand will further get a boost. He said that Uttarakhand has made its name in the world in the field of environment and we are regularly working for the environmental conservation. He said that there were immense possibilities of wellness and Yoga tourism, Adventure tourism, Eco tourism and Village tourism. He said that the people of the Uttarakhand living outside the state are also playing an important role in state building. The president of Uttarakhand Yuva Manch Dharmpal Rawat, secretary Pradeep Sundriyal and others were present on the occasion.
