Dehradun: Under the “Global Exhibition On Services” held in Mumbai from May 14 to 18, the Uttarakhand government gave presentation based on different subjects to the representatives of various countries, various multinational companies, various state governments and union government. On this occasion, Special Secretary Industry and Commerce, Union Government Anup Wadhawan said that there are immense possibilities of investment in Uttarakhand. He said that Uttarakhand is a peaceful state, following which many multinational companies are coming forward to invest in Uttarakhand.
Secretary, Information and Skill Development, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Pandey, gave a presentation regarding the works being done and facilities being provided in Uttarakhand by the state government, under the Skill Development. Apart from this, information was given to the representatives of the various countries regarding the location of the film shooting, besides facilities being provided under the Film Policy.
MD Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam gave detailed information about the Uttarakhand tourism. He said that presently, in order to attract the tourists and to give them exposure pertaining to rural surroundings, Home Stay Scheme has been started. This would lead to increase in the number of the tourists besides providing employment opportunities at the local level.
Director IT Amit Sinha said that in the IT Sector, various agencies have been invited to do work in the IT Sector in Uttarakhand. Director Industries Sudhir Nautiyal said, under the MSME policy, various multinational companies, working in the industry sector, to do industrial investment in Uttarakhand and gave information about the facilities being provided by the government. After the presentation given by the Uttarakhand government, many countries and multinational companies expressed their desire to work in the Film Industry and Skill Sector in Uttarakhand.
On this occasion, many representatives from Malaysia and Germany and Mumbai expressed their wish to do shooting in Uttarakhand. On this occasion, Additional Secretary Jyoti Khairwal, Deputy Director, Information Department K.S.Chauhan, K.S.Chamoli from Industry Department, O.P.Badoni from Tourism Department along with representatives from various countries and multinational companies were present.
