Dehradun: On the occasion of the International Yoga Day, Union Government has selected Dehradun for the national programme. In this regard, Secretary, Ayush Department, Union Government, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, has witten a letter to the Uttarakhand Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh informing that this year, on the occasion of the International Yoga Day on June 21, 2018, Dehradun would be the centre for the national programme. Notably, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat, during a programme on Monday, had informed that this year on the occasion of International Yoga Day, the Prime Minister of India Mr. Narendra Modi will attend the main programme at Dehradun. For Uttarakhand, which is well-known at world level for Ayurveda, Yoga and Meditation, becoming the centre for the national programme on International Yoga Day, is indeed a matter of proud.
