Patna: RJD leader Tej Pratap Yadav on Tuesday accused the BJP-RSS of hacking his official Facebook account in an attempt to create a rift in his family and threatened to file an FIR, but the ruling JD(U)-BJP in Bihar dismissed the charge.
Tej Pratap Yadav alleged that the BJP-RSS hacked his account to weaken his party and create a rift within the Yadav family.
“I will lodge an FIR and cut the BJP people to size.” “My Facebook account was hacked and recovered with the help of Facebook. BJP supporters have always tried to hack my social media accounts and today they succeeded,” the elder son of Lalu Prasad said in a post on the social media platform.
His allegations came soon after a post appeared on his official Facebook page in which he appeared to be resenting the behaviour of a few leaders of his own party and complained that even his parents did not pay attention to his concern.
In the post, he appeared to be upset over being called names by RJD leaders and declared he would not contest from Mahua assembly seat and might even retire from active politics. The health minister in the previous Grand Alliance government appeared before the media today, waving a piece of paper with “no entry for Nitish chacha” written on it.
Two days ago, he had said he would put up a no entry board for Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, in keeping with the RJD’s opposition to his return to the Grand Alliance.
The JD(U)-BJP combine criticised the RJD leader for levelling the accusations. Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi said Tej Pratap Yadav was giving vent to his frustration after allegedly being overshadowed by his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav.
JD(U) spokesman Sanjay Singh dared him to file an FIR and get the matter investigated. “Tej Pratap was denied natural justice when he, despite being the elder son of Lalu Yadav, was made only a minister, while his younger brother became the deputy chief minister. His frustration remained under wraps during the 20 months he enjoyed power.
But now his discontent is bursting out,” Sushil Modi tweeted. “This is all the internal matter of a family and a party. If it comes out in the open, on the social media, there are bound to be reactions.
Instead of accusing BJP of hacking his Facebook account, Tej Pratap should approach the police with a formal complaint,” he added. Sanjay Singh said the problem with Lalu Yadav’s sons is that unlike their father, who had worked hard to earn his political stature, they have got their political career on a platter, so they have no sense of responsibility.
“If he is stating the truth, that is, his Facebook account was in fact hacked, he should go to the police. The IT cell is highly efficient,” Singh said. PTI
