CM Trivendra inaugurates private ward at AIIMS, Rishikesh

Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the private ward at All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Rishikesh. Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister said that AIIMS, Rishikesh has developed very fast. He said that today treatment is provided here through state-of-the-art machines. He said that the behaviour of the physician with patients should be polite and gentle. Along with it, doctors should undertake advanced courses.

Chief Minister said that the state government is constantly making efforts to develop medical facilities in the state. Doctors have been deployed in remote areas. Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to providing health facilities in remote areas. Heli services are also being provided to provide health services in remote areas.

Chief Minister said that contemplations are on for setting up an International Level Convention Center in Rishikesh. For this, 900 acres of land of IDPL has to be transferred to the state government. He said that after land transfer from IDPL, 200 acres of land will be provided to AIIMS, so that other medical facilities can be developed in AIIMS. He also announced that four-laning of road from IDPL to AIIMS will be done.

Chief Minister said that the government is considering making 500 beds Rain Basera for the attendants of the patients. He said that AIIMS has made its mark in the country and the world. Given the future requirements in the field of health, further development has to be done.

Director AIIMS, Rishikesh Dr. Ravi Kant told that AIIMS has a system of radiotherapy for cancer treatment. He added that average daily OPD is about 550.  He said that the hospital currently has 800 working bed capacity and 11 operation theatres.
