Construction of girls toilets will be given top priority: Chief Minister

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat held a review meeting through video conferencing of the progress made in various announcements made by the Chief Minister in the assembly constituencies of Almora and Bageshwar districts, at Secretariat, here on Monday. Uttarakhand cabinet minister Madan Kaushik, Harak SIngh Rawat, Minister of State for Women and Child Welfare Rekha Arya, legislators Surinder Singh Jeena, Balwant Singh Buauriyal, Karan Mahra, Chandan Ram Dass and Mahesh Negi, Chief Secretary Utpal Kumar Singh , senior officers, districts magistrates and other district level; officers were present.

Almora-    The department of Culture informed that as per the announcement of Chief Minister to promote ‘Aipan’ art form, a sum of Rs. 2 lakh each is distributed in all the developmental blocks of all the 13 districts of the state. The money has already been released in seven districts and the rest of the districts will get the money by the first week of August. It is to be mentioned that on the lines of “Chile Aipan’ organization in Almora, to promote ‘Aipan’ art form, such groups in districts will be formed.  Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said for construction of parking places and its better management in Almora city and other hilly cities, a policy decision in cabinet will be taken soon.  It was informed in the meeting that sanction for a new power feeder at tourist place of Kasar Devi has been given and work allotment has also been done. Secretary Education informed that an amount of Rs. 63.59 lakh for construction of four class rooms in Government Inter College, Reggal has been sanctioned and work has been going on. A sum of Rs. 22.40 lakh which is 40 per cent of the total sanctioned amount of Rs. 56.40 lakh for the construction of Primary School, Talad has been released and work has been going on.

 Someshwar  –  It was informed in the meeting that  the construction of 33/11 KV sub-station  at Takula  Government Junior High School, Bhetli in Someshwar has been going on.  The protection wall of the police station Takula from floods of Sai river will be constructed soon. The order to join Sheetlakhet in the tourist circuit will be issued within 15 days. An estimate of Rs. 36 lakh has been sent to the state government. An amount of Rs. 88.10 lakh for Daulaghat village Water Scheme has been sanctioned by the state government. A detailed project report for the proposed Kakdighat lake has been approved. The tender for improving and concretization of Naini Jana Ginal motor road ( 8 Km) has been issued and a sum of Rs.341.94 lakh sanctioned. Tender for improving and concretization of Kalikama-Dalmoti motor road has been issued and a sum of Rs.225.78 lakh sanctioned.

Kapkot-  Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat instructed the district administration that work should be started on the development of Saudhana, the origin place of Saryu river. He said that special focus should be done for the conservation of Saryu River and its continuous flow by tree plantation, digging trenches and water conservation through public participation. It was informed in the meeting that in 12 village out of total 20 villages which were handed over from UREDA to UPCL, the work of reorganization of power lines and equipment has been done. In the remaining six villages UREDA is still supplying power. The remaining work will be completed by October. The work on  60 meter long span swing bridge at Devli will be completed by May 2019. The land for mini stadiums at Kidai, Difad, Malukhet and Besani in Kapkot has been identified.  The government order for the construction of ‘Rainbasera’ at Nagar Panchayat ,Kapkot will be issued within a month. The 75 per cent re-construction work of the Kapkot-Pindari motor road has been completed  and the remaining work will be completed by August 15, 2018. A sum of Rs.175.69 lakh has been sanctioned and tenders issued for the construction of Mehrudi-Pathkuda Motor Road.

 Bageshwar: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra issued orders that all the incomplete under-construction works should be completed on priority basis. Chief Minister instructed that the work on the project to set up a modern “’Kill Waste” machine for the disposal of the garbage in Bageshwar and all the hill towns should be done seriously. He further said that this machine should be installed in dumping grounds of all the cities, while adding that soon a “Smart Bin Machine” will be allocated for the disposal of plastic bottles/garbage in Bageshwar city. In connection with the Bageshwar assembly constituency, information was given that the construction of the Dharmashala at Bagnath temple and a museum at Baijnath temple, Garud, with the permission from the Archaeological Survey of India, the process of preparing a DPR is underway. In connection with the arrangement for a laparoscopic surgeon in Bageshwar district hospital, soon the surgeons posted in the said hospital will be sent for training of laparoscopic surgery. A proposal of Rs 14 crores has been sent by the Kumaon Mandal Vikas Nigam to connect the Kukdamai-Girechina-Paldichina Mainchula Mai temple with the tourism circuit. Under the scheme, Trek Routes, View Point, Himalaya Darshan and Yatri Darshan Point will be developed. The roadways bus stand and auditorium in Billona are under construction. Construction of the Ghat near Mahant garden on the right bank of Gomti River will be completed by February 2019. The construction of foodgrain warehouse in Bharadi Kapkot has been approved and the GO has been issued in this regard.

Dwarahat: The land has been made available for the construction of the Chhana Bhaint mini stadium and mini stadium in Binta in Dwarahat and approval orders will be issued within a month. Proceedings for the beautification of Mansa Devi temple is under progress. Restoration and protective works of 42 meter span steel girder pedestrian bridges on the Gagas River located in Kama village have been approved and the work will be completed by June 2019.

Salt: Chief Minister issued instructions for the construction of toilets in girl school in all the Vidhan Sabha constituencies including Salt on high priority. Chief Minister instructed the district administration to conduct the work of soil testing, survey and plant distribution, in an organised manner for the promotion of the herbs and fruit production in Manila, Salt. Distribution of fruit and plants should be ensured by the District Horticulture Department. Chief Minister instructed that Sadra-Dautial route should be beautified by planting aromatic flowers, so that it can be developed as an attraction centre for tourists. Regarding the development works in the Salt region, it was informed that DPR for construction of lake in Marchula will be ready by November and amount of Rs. 22.57 lakh has been sanctioned. Work of concretization and upgradation of various motorways in the area is under progress. Money has been issued for the stadium in Sayalde and the proceedings are on.
