CM Rawat greet people on the eve of statehood day anniversary

Dehradun: On the eve of state formation day anniversary, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat in his message to the people of the state on the completion of 18th anniversary of Uttarakhand has conveyed his wishes. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat also paid his tributes, remembering the martyrs of the statehood agitation.

In his message, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said,” On the completion of 18 years of completion of state formation of Uttarakhand, I salute all those known and unkown great statehood agitators without whose sacrifices and courage the state of Uttarakhand would not have been possible. I also pay tributes to great leader of the country and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on this occasion who recognized the sentiments of the people and gave us our beloved Uttarakhand.”

He said that 18 years after the formation of Uttarakhand, the state has achieved many milestones but has yet to achieve much more. He said that Uttarakhand is not only a ‘Devbhoomi’ but also a ‘Veerbhoomi’. He further said that our brave soldiers in army and para-military forces by their immense sacrifices have been defending the country.

Chief Minister said that it was his firm belief that public service should be done with honesty and transparent. He further said that it was only due to good governance that new milestones could be achieved and only on the basis of the state could be transformed into a model state. Chief Minister said that the state is full of possibilities as development is a constant process. Uttarakhand could be a model state with collective development and good governance.

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that Uttarakhand has completed 18 years of its success story and everybody has to contribute to fulfil the dream of making the young state a success. Swami Vivekanand had said,” Get up, awake and do not stop till you achieve the goal.”

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat called upon that all the people should resolve to contribute to the progress and prosperity of Uttarakhand and the country. He said that this would be the best tribute to the martyrs of the statehood agitation. “We all have to join hands to make Uttarakhand the best state,” he added.
