Uncategorized

The corporates across India are lining up to garner contributions for the families of 49 CRPF jawans martyred in the Pulwama terror attack.

In a bid to reach out to the families of the CRPF personnel, the country’s largest public sector lender State Bank of India (SBI) has said that the company will be waiving of the pending amount of loans of 23 jawans, who had borrowed from the bank.

The bank has also decided to expedite the payment of insurance to the CRPF personnel.

All the CRPF soldiers are customers of SBI under Defence Salary Package, where the Bank provides insurance of Rs 30 lakh to each of the defence personnel.

The bank has also created a UPI handle bharatkeveer@sbi for the initiative to help people easily make monetary contributions.

Infosys Foundation, the corporate social responsibility (CSR) arm of IT major Infosys, will give Rs 10 lakh each to the families of martyrs who laid down their life in line of duty in the terrorist attack at Pulwama in Jammu & Kashmir.

Other than this, Reliance Foundation, the CSR arm of Mukesh Ambani-owned Reliance Group, has expressed readiness to take on the responsibility of education and employment of the children of the 40 CRPF personnel who were killed in the attack.

“As a mark of our gratitude to the martyrs, Reliance Foundation expresses its readiness to assume full responsibility for the education and employment of their children and the livelihood of their families,” the company had said.
