The sixth ranked India, who just needed a draw to seal a place in the summit clash, produced a superlative performance and continued their domination over Pakistan. It was India’s fourth win over Pakistan this year, having beaten them twice in the Hockey World League Semi-finals in London and once in the pool stages here.
Meanwhile, second-placed Malaysia took their points tally to four after playing out a 1-1 draw against South Korea, who collected three points in total.
Pakistan and South Korea will lock horns in the bronze medal match today.
