A restaurant run by Michael Beck in the streets of Manchester earned him a lot of praise on the social media for its initiative of leaving boxes full of food for the poor and needy after its closing each night.
The restaurant in a Facebook post was seen encouraging its customers as well to donate warm clothes and other necessary items for the ones in need. It would then send the collected items to the local charities which would help distribute them further among the ones in need.
Another Facebook post by the restaurant said, “If you see anyone on the streets of Manchester or Didsbury who looks hungry, let them know where they can find a meal in a bag”.
“When we close the doors for the day, we promise to leave bags outside full of tasty food.”
“Fill a small bag with some comforts, maybe a hat, a scarf, a pair of old socks or a jumper you no longer need.”
In conversation with one of the news dailies in Manchester, the owner of the restaurant said, “Its either that or the bin. It’s as simple as that.”
Michael’s statement inspired many and paved way for love and hope in times of despair.
