Festival of India in Fiji, Kiribati, Tonga, Vanuatu, Nauru, Tuvalu and Cook Islands from October, 2017 – March 2018

New Delhi: A Festival of India is being organized in Fiji, Kiribati, Tonga, Vanuatu, Nauru, Tuvalu and Cook Islands from October, 2017 – March, 2018.  The Festival will showcase diverse Indian culture, i.e. classical and folk dances, music, cuisine and International Conferences.  The events will be held in six cities of Fiji, namely, Suva, Nadi, Lautoka, Labasa, Ba and capital cities of Kiribati, Tonga, Vanuatu, Nauru, Tuvalu and Cook Islands. Following events will be showcased:

  1. ‘International Conference on Integral Humanism’ to commemorate birth centenary of Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay in  Fiji (1st Week of October, 2017)
  1. Food Festival in Fiji (13-20 October, 2018)
  1. Qawwali programme by seven-member Sabri Brothers group in Fiji  (23-30 October, 2017)
  1. Oddisi Dance by Smt. Meera Das Group of Gunjan Dance Akademi, Cuttack in Fiji, Kiribati, Tonga and Vanuatu (2-14 November, 2017)
  1. Ramayana Episode “Jatayu Moksham” by Kalashetra in Fiji (25-30 November, 2017)
  1. International Hindi Conference in Fiji (24-26 November, 2017)
  1. Kuchipudi Dance and Yoga Demonstration by Dr. Yashodha Thakore in Fiji and in Cook Islands (12-17 January, 2018)
  1. Bollywood Dance and Musical Group in Fiji, Nauru and Tuvalu (25 January – 3 February, 2018)
  1. Folk Dance by Avishkar Akademy of Performing Arts in Fiji (16-18 February, 2018)
  1. Folk Band Aarug of Ramanuj Sharma in Fiji (16-18 March, 2018)
