New Delhi: The Government has notified the road from Beyt Dwarka connecting Okha to Dwarka as extension of National Highway 51 in the state of Gujarat on 21st July 2017. Besides, the road sections namely Adhelai-Nari Junction (SH-6), Dwarka-Khamaliya-Debariya (SH-25), Dhrol-Badra Patiya (SH-25) and Badra-Patiya-Pipaliya (SH-6) have been included for development under Bharat Mala scheme as National Highways in principle. All the above road sections except Dwarka-Beyt –Dwarka are proposed under Hybrid Annuity mode (DBOT).
This information was given by Minister of State for Road Transport, Shipping and Highways and Chemical and fertilizers Shri Mansukh L Mandaviya in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha today. He further added that total 72 number of proposals were received from Gujarat to repair National Highways during last three years. He said that the permission to undertake work has been granted on all sanctioned works. A consolidated fund of Rs 250 Crore for all sanctioned works has been allocated in 2017-18.
