Lucknow: 27th March,2017: Lucknow: Sashastra Seema Bal, Frontier Lucknow organized a workshop on “Interrogation – Methodology & Skills” today to train 30 Inspectors/Sub-Inspectors of the Force. Smt. Archana Ramasundaram, IPS, Director General, SSB inaugurated the workshop meant to enhance the interrogation skills of SSB Officers deployed along the Border.
Shri. Alok Sharma, IPS (UP Cadre), IG, Frontier Lucknow delivered the welcome address and emphasized the need to learn the interrogation skills and techniques to discharge the duties on the porus border.
DG, SSB in her inaugural address emphasized the need to develop professional knowledge & soft skills, besides learning the art of interrogation. She exhorted the officers to hone their knowledge of proper procedure and paper work involved, in dealing with border crime. She stressed that a proper approach to interrogation is the need of the hour to elicit maximum information from the accused /victims of border crime so as to get the forward & backward linkages and the information about any other associates involved in crime.
Dr. G.K.Goswami, IPS, DIG and his team from CBI Lucknow delivered the talk/lectures on various methodology and skills of interrogation specifically keeping in view the needs of SSB. Later, Shri Amit Pathak, IPS, SSP, and his team from STF Lucknow also delivered the lectures on various approaches to enhance the interrogation and shared their experiences.
Thereafter, DG SSB Smt. Archana Ramasundaram inspected the construction work of 415 Separated Family Accommodation, being constructed for officers and Jawans of the Force at Shaheedpath, Gomtinagar, Lucknow.
DG SSB called on the Hon’ble Chief Minister of UP Shri Aditya Nath Yogi at the CM Office. Besides briefing the Hon’ble Chief Minister on important issues, the DG SSB requested for providing land for various establishments of the Force for which the proposal are already under consideration. Hon’ble Chief Minister responded favorably to the request of DG SSB.
Shri. D.S.Chauhan, IPS, DIG, SSB, Shri.U.P.Balodi, DIG, SSB, Khiri & Shri. Ranjeet Singh, DIG, SSB, Gorakhpur and Dr.V.J.Verma, Staff Officer (Training) were present on the occasion.
