Bengaluru student bags Google job with Rs 1.2 crore annual package

Bengaluru: Aditya Paliwal, a M.Tech student from International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore (IIIT-B) has bagged a job at Google with a pay package of Rs 1.2 crore per annum.

The 22-year-old who finished his integrated M.Tech this year, will now be working with Google’s Artificial Intelligence research wing in New York and will be joining work on July 16.

He is one of only 50 people in the world and around 5 in the country to have been selected for the program this year.

According to a TOI report, Aditya got the offer from Google in March earlier this year. He was selected through a test in artificial intelligence research. A total of 6,000 students took the test, out of which, only 50 aspirants were selected.

Aditya was also one of the finalists of the ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) in 2017 and 2018, which is one of the prestigious competitions for language coding enthusiasts.

Aditya who hails from Mumbai, is a student of the 2018 pass out batch. He pursued Integrated MTech dual-degree programme of five years from 2013 to 2018.
