Dehradun: The Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has extended his gratitude to the people of the state on completing one year in office.
The Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat in his message released today said that one year ago, BJP was given an opportunity by the people of the state to form the government and to serve them. He said that in this past one year the state government has taken several steps towards overall development of every section of the society. The famers, women and village have been the central focus of the policies of his government.
He said that the priority of the government have been to provide better health facilities, better education, curbing migration and providing employment opportunities to the unemployed youth. He said that his government instead of making sheer announcements worked on those issues on which it could deliver.
The Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that several policy level decisions have been taken in the interest of the state to propel Uttarakhand amongst the other frontline developing states. He said that our effort was to ensure grass root level execution of various schemes on the ground and provide the benefits of welfare schemes to the last man standing in the state. He said that to achieve this goal, a consolidated effort was made by the state government in it’s first year in office.
He said that in power sector the revenue has increased to Rs 168 crore from past year. In transport department the revenue has increased to Rs 140 crores in comparison to last year. In the mining sector, through E-auction process adopted for the first time, the revenue collection has risen around 27 percent. In PWD Department, the works of around Rs 630 crores have been done in relation to works worth Rs.420 crores done in last year. Around 1754-kilometer-long roads, 57 bridges and 567 kilometer of road re-construction work has been done in the past one yearonly . A total of 83 villages and 198 new settlements have been linked through new bridges and roads built in the past one year.
He said that the state government has done a commendable work in the field of providing electricity connections. Around 96.60 per cent villages were electrified so far, while electricity supply has been supplied to 51 remotely situated villages in the last one-year, while the remaining 21 left out villages would be electrified by the end of March, this year.
The Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that supply of potable water has commenced to 552 slums of the state. A total of 572 hand pumps were installed at new places. A total of 1273 rural potable water schemes were restored and strengthened to overcome shortage of potable water in rural areas across the state. A total of 3837 running (Chal-Khal), springs and farm ponds were rejuvenated. The work for ‘Suryadhar’ lake has started in Dehradun. The work has already started for rejuvenating s Rispana, and Kosi rivers.
He further said that 600 additional medical officers have been appointed till date in the last one year including 239 doctors who have signed a service bond with the state government. The government has quashed the contract of doctors, who were posted in the plains for years and were sent back to their original place of postings. A total of 149 dentists have been deployed in the remote areas of the state. The selection of 491 doctors, and 293 health workers has been completed. The tele-medicine facility has started in 22 main hospitals, while this facility would start soon in 13 more hospitals of the state. The E-health centres have been established at Augustmuni, Bhikiyasain, Naugaon and Okhal Kanda health centres. Around 60-65 types of pathological examination would be available in these E-health centres. The on-line registration facility has been started in 47 hospitals across the state. The government has sanctioned a sum of Rs 33 crore for ASHA workers, which was pending since 2012. The accident insurance schemes of Rs two lakh has also been started for ASHA workers, ANM workers. Computer tablets were provide to ANM workers to facilitate their work. The government is also committed to work towards women empowerment. The training to manufacture LED equipment is being imparted to women at 15 growth centres. The government is providing Rs one lakh loan, having one percent interest to socially weak, and destitute women in the state. An E-rickshaw scheme has also been started for women. The first ‘Sparsh’ sanitary napkin production unit has started in the state.
The Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that with an aim to double the income of farmers by 2020, the state government has started a plan in which more than 1.25 lakh farners have been given loans worth more than rs. 600 crores at an interest of only two per cent. A decision has also been taken to consolidate the small and fragmented land holdings by starting the process of ‘Chakbandi’ ( land consolidation). Besides this, 1131 modern milk collection units have also been established across the state. With the start of these modern milk collection units, the farmers would get an additional income of Rs six per litre on an average.
The Chief Minister Mr Trivendra Singh Rawat said that under the Prime Minister’s Skill development Scheme, the first training centre under the state component has been opened in Uttarakhand. A total of 2951 new MSME units have been established in which more than 17000 people have got employment. The building and land for the opening of the Central Institute of Plastic Engineering and Technology have been finalized and classes are likely to start from this year.
Talking about rapid industrial growth, he said that under the single window system, 460 proposals worth Rs, 2500 crore have been given sanction. The new start up policy 2018 has also been implemented in the state. The permission to buy land to start new enterprises would be granted at the district level.
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that as per the road map for rapid development of the state according to ‘Mission 2020’, the state government has given itself the target to introduce DBT in all developmental projects, double the revenue collection, establish 500 home stays, one lakh unemployed youth to be made skilled, 200 start to be initiated, to give gainful employment to atleast one member of the 4.35 poor families, to generate one lakh jobs in service sector and give optical fibre connectivity in each village of the state.
