Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat inspects construction of Ajabpur-ISBT flyovers & ‘Daat Kali’ tunnel, orders to complete work on time & ensure quality.

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat on Thursday inspected the flyover being constructed by National Highway Authority at Ajabpur, ISBT fly over and tunnel being constructed at ‘Daat Kali’ temple on the Dehradun-Saharanpur highway. The Chief Minister instructed the executive agencies undertaking these works to complete these works within the stipulated time limit. He further said that special care should be taken about the quality of work and timely completion of work. The Chief Minister said that any kind of negligence in the quality of work will not be tolerated.

The Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat instructed the executive agency to complete the construction work of Ajabpur flyover by July 2018. On being informed by the officials of the executive agency about the presence of power line above the Ajabpur flyover, which was causing hindrance in the construction work, the Chief Minister instructed the Secretary, Power to take necessary action in this regard.

During the inspection of ISBT flyover, the Chief Minister instructed NHAI officials to speed up the work while keeping public utilities in mind. He said that beautification work on both the sides of the flyover should be done. He also took information regarding the progress of Mohkampur flyover on the occasion. The Chief Minister said that the construction of both fly-overs should be completed before the State’s Foundation Day. He said that after the completion of these flyovers, people will get rid of jams which they face at these intersections.

Later, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat also inspected the tunnel being constructed at ‘Daat Kali’ temple on Dehradun-Saharanpur highway. He instructed that the construction work of the tunnel should be completed within one year. During the inspection, the Chief Minister instructed the executive agency that the walls of the tunnels should be decorated in such a way that the glimpses of cultural characteristics of Uttarakhand should be visible to tourists crossing the tunnel.  He said that modern technology should be used to show the glimpses of Uttarakhand’s culture which is known as Land of Gods (Dev Bhoomi) and Land of Bravehearts (Vir Bhoomi).

 Among those present during the inspection were Additional Chief Secretary Om Prakash, District Magistrate Dehradun S.S. Murugeshan, Dehradun S.S.P. Nivedita Kukreti, BJP leader Suneel Uniyal ‘Gama’, Vinay Goyal, and many administrative officers and officials of the executive agencies.
