Uncategorized

Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat met the representatives of Himalayan mega Food Park at his official residence. Chief Minister getting apprised of the problems faced by the representatives of Himalayan Mega Food Park said that promoting industry in the state is the top priority of the state government.  He said that the problems being faced by Himalayan Mega Food Park will be looked into and a solution will be found out. The Chief Minister assured that this issue will be put before the cabinet in the interest of the state. He said that the state government will help resolve the problems of industry so that investments in the state are not affected.

The representatives of the Himalayan Mega Food Park informed the Chief Minister that due to less green areas in Food Park as per the rules of the State Industries Development Authority (SIDA), their maps are not been sanctioned. They argued that their unit was earlier under Nagar Palika before being part of State Industries Development Authority (SIDA), and then the rules were different. The mandatory requirement of 15 meters green cover by State Industries Development Authority (SIDA) has led to difficulties in getting the maps sanctioned. The unit is also not able to get the benefit of tax rebate due to non-compliance with the State Industries Development Authority (SIDA) regulations. This has affected investment of Rs.800 crores.

Legislator Munna Singh Chauhan, Industrial Advisor to Chief Minister K.S.Panwar, Additional Secretary Dr.M.S. Bisht and from Himalayan Mega Food Park Abhinav Bansal, Praven Aggarwal, Ashwani Chabbara, Vikas Jindal and Vibhor Aggarwal were present on the occasion.
