CM Rawat congratulates PM Narendra Modi on successful completion of four years of union government

Dehradun: On the successful completion of the four years of the union government led by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has congratulated the Prime Minister and the fellow countrymen. He said that during the four year tenure, India has touched new heights economically, in terms of social prosperity and development. At the international level, there has been an unprecedented increase in the honour and dignity of the country. For the all-round development of the country and welfare of everyone, Modi government has taken several steps. The Prime Minister’s vision of New India is a path breaking initiative for putting the country on the path of prosperity and progress.

 Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi and his government has special affection for Uttarakhand. He said that whether it is road connectivity, air and railway services, rural electrification or solar projects, organic farming and cooperative, development of the new tourist destinations, approval of Science City in Dehradun, international level convention center in Rishikesh, reconstruction work of Sri Kedarnath Dham or ‘Namame Gange’ Programme, the union government has always kept the state along in its journey of development.

 Chief Minister said that Rs 12,000 crore Char Dham All Weather Road, Rs 13,000 crore ‘Bharatmala’ Project, expansion of the Rishikesh-Karanprayag railway line in the form of ‘Char Dham’ circuit, are all gifts of the Modi Government to Uttarakhand. Along with it, in view of state’s geographical conditions, the central government, under the ‘Udan’ Scheme, has given approval to connect all major airstrips of the state and 27 helipads with air services. He further said that union government has also agreed to include Tehri and all other Lakes of state in its Sea Plane Project. Dehradun, Haridwar and Haldwani would get a ring road. More than 22 roads have been granted approval by the National Highway. Union government is extending all cooperation for the Kandi route for connectivity with Garhwal-Kumaon. From Tanakpur to Pithoragarh and Ramgarh- Chaukhutiya,  Railway Lines would also be developed.

 Chief Minister said that with PMs ‘Ayushman Bharat’ Scheme, 5.38 lakh families in Uttarakhand would be benefitted. While expanding the scheme, the State government has decided to bring 20 lakh families under the ‘Ayushman Bharat Ayushman Uttarakhand’. From coming August 15, this scheme would be launched.

 Under the ‘Namame Gange’ Programme, the centre government was extending every possible support to the state government. Recently, Uttarkashi, Dehradun, Dehradun, Kedarnath and Srikot have also been included in the programme. Under the ‘Namame Gange’ Programme, in Haridwar, foundation stone and inauguration, of 34 projects, worth Rs. 918.94 crores, has been done.

 Under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Awaas Yojna’, more than 1 lakh families would be provided affordable accommodation would be provided. Dehradun has been selected for the Smart City project. Prime Minister himself is regularly monitoring the reconstruction work of Sri Kedarnath Dham. PM himself has laid foundation stones of five reconstruction schemes in Kedarnath Dham.

 In the state, under the ‘Saubhagya Yojana’, 3,17,595 houses are being provided electricity connection. Under ‘Ujjwala Yojana’, free of cost LPG connections are being provided to the women from the poor strata. Under the PM Skill Development Program, in next 3 years, more than 50,000 youth would be made skilled. Under the ‘Ujala Yojana’, to promote the use of the LED bulbs, the state government has made LED bulbs mandatory in all the government buildings. In order to provide LED bulbs easily, ‘Ujala Mitra Yojana’ has been implemented.

 Under the ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Vidyutikaran Yojana’, all the villages in the state have been electrified.  For the underground laying of the power cables in Kumbh area of Hardwar, foundation stone of the works worth Rs 200 crore have been laid and in principle approval for additional Rs 200 crores has also been received. Under the ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyan’, Uttarakhand has become the fourth ODF state in the country. And, in the urban areas, all the city civic bodies have declared as ODF.

 In order to complete the target set by the Prime Minister to double the farmers income by year 2020, the state government has taken concrete steps. Under the ‘Deen Dayal Upadhyay Kisan Kalyan Yojana’, loan upto Rs 1 lakh is being disbursed at mere interest rate of 2 per cent. In order to strengthen the hands of the state government, the union government has sanctioned Rs 1500 crores for organic farming and Rs 2600 crores for cooperative works.

 The number of farmers’ machinery banks has also been increased and a provision of Rs 10 lakhs has been kept for each bank. Chief Minister, while wishing good health and well-being of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi, has expressed hope that in coming years, under Mr. Modi’s leadership, India would continue to progress at a fast pace.
