CM Rawat distributes golden cards of Ayushman Bharat Yojana to identified families under Pradhan Mantri Jan AarogyaYojana

Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat distributed golden cards of Ayushman Bharat Yojana for free health care to the identified families of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Jan AarogyaYojana at Gandhi Shatabdi Eye Hospital, Dalanwala, Dehradun on Sunday. On this occasion, Chief Minister distributed golden cards of Ayushman Bharat Yojana to 37 beneficiaries. 300 golden cards were distributed throughout the state today. It is worth mentioning that under the Ayushman Yojana, on the basis of socio-economic and caste census of 2011, as many as 5,37,652 beneficiaries have been identified in Uttarakhand. Under this Yojana, free medical treatment upto Rs 5 lakh per year will be provided per family in the listed hospitals of the state and country. The treatment will be cashless and paperless. Ayushman Yojana is national portable. Beneficiaries can avail the scheme at any place in the country. In the Ayushman Yojana, Arogya Mitra has been nominated in each hospital for the assistance of the beneficiaries. Arogya Mitra will help the beneficiaries in getting the biometric based Golden Card. All 7 medical colleges of the state have been registered for Ayushman assistance. Along with this, 27 government hospitals and 26 private hospitals in the state have so far been registered for the Ayushman Yojana. Along with this, expanding the Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Uttarakhand government will be running Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana and its first phase has started today with the launch of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Under the Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana, the state government employees, officers, pensioners and their dependents will be given the complete health care benefit of the Ayushman Bharat Yojana. Atal Ayushman Uttarakhand Yojana will cover over 22 lakh families of the state. On this occasion, Chief Minister also inaugurated Mahatma Gandhi Shatabdi Eye Medical Science Center (MCHWing) Part II.

Malaria eradication work plan launched in the state

On this occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat also inaugurated the malaria eradication work plan 2018-22. Under the malaria eradication work plan, the number of malaria affected people will be reduced to zero by 2020 in all the districts of the state. Health Department has set the target to eliminate malaria completely in the state by 2022.

ICU unit soon at Doon Medical College

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that ICU unit will be started soon in Doon Medical College. Also, tele-cardiology has been started in Pauri today.

300-bed new maternity hospital to be opened in Dehradun

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that a new 300-bed maternity hospital will be started by the state government soon. Chief Minister said that bringing quality health with ease to every citizen of the state is the top priority of the state government. He said that government is continuously working to improve health services.

139 ambulances to be available by January

Chief Minister said that under the 108 emergency services, 139 new ambulance vehicles will be added by the month of January. He said that government is working to strengthen the health services in the remote and rural areas.

Air ambulance to be started in state

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that in order to provide the emergency health facilities in the remote areas of the state, air ambulance service will be started. For this, government of India has already allocated the funds.

Additional 100 bed facility for Pandit Deen Dyal Upadhaya hospital

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that additional 100 bed facility for Pandit Deen Dyal Upadhaya hospital will be made. This will give relief to the patients coming from Dehradun and other districts. He said that a transit hostel is being started at Pauri.

  Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that it has been the target of the state government that 90 per cent deliveries are institutionalized so that the expectant mother and newly born child get better health facilities. This would help in reducing child and mother mortality rates. He said that special focus is being done to improve the health of women.

Chief minister said that it was his priority to provide better health facility to every person and several concrete steps have been taken in the past one and half years to improve the health facilities in the state. “We have been able to control several communicable diseases. There should not only be government efforts in improving the health facilities but even social organizations can help solve many problems,” he said.

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that efforts should be made to make better atmosphere in the hospitals. He expressed his happiness that in the forthcoming “Investors Summit” several investment proposals in health sectors have come. Chief Minister said that his government has been able to appoint doctors in 75 per cent of the areas of the state and there are efforts to provid health facilities in the remote far flung areas through technology and Information technology.

Tehri Lok Sabha MP Mala Rajluxmi Shah, Cabinet Minister Yashpal Arya, Minister of State Rekha Arya, Dr Dhan  Singh Rawat, legislators Harbans Kapoor, Khazan Dass, Umesh Sharna Kau, secretary Health Nitish Kumar Jha were present on the occasion. Earlier, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated a health camp at Panchayatghar, Harrawala.
