Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed heartfelt condolence over the demise of Almora resident and Uttarakhand State Agitator Dr. Shamsher Singh Bisht. He prayed for the peace of the departed soul and wished that almighty provide strength to the family members of the deceased. Chief Minister said that Dr. Shamsher Singh Bisht has been associated with social concerns and environmental awareness. Apart from active involvement of the Uttarakhand Statehood Movement, Dr. Bisht continued his struggle to save the forests and rivers. After the Askot Arakot Yatra in 1974, he turned down all the offers and was completely engaged in the service of Uttarakhand.
