Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed deep sorrow at the bus accident near Dhumakot in Pauri Garhwal district. He prayed for the peace of the departed and grant of patience for the families of the deceased. He also prayed for the health of those injured in the accident.
The Chief Minister also ordered immediate release of Rs. Two lakh each to the next of kin of those killed and Rs. 50,000 each to those injured. The injured are being admitted to nearest hospitals of Ramnagar and Haldwani. He has also ordered a magisterial inquiry into the bus accident.
Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has also expressed his condolences for the deceased in the accident. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Health Minister J.P.Nadda also expressed grief on telephone to Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat and promised all possible help.
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat instructed the district administration, police and SDRF to immediately provide relief to the victims. He instructed the district administration to provide every possible medical help to the injured. The administration, police and SDRF teams are involved in the rescue and relief operations. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has left for the accident site.
On account of incliment weather, the helicopter sent for rescue at the mishap site has to do emergency landing at Ramnagar. The injured are being taken to Ramnagar and referred to higher centres through helicopter.
