Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat flagged off ‘Jan Chetna Shobha Yatra’ organized by Yamuna Bachao Abhiyan group from his residence, here. On the occasion MLA Ganesh Joshi was also present.
Chief Minister said that conservation of rivers is social responsibility of all of us. He said that Ganga and Yamuna originate in Uttarakhand, so everyone should make collective efforts to keep them clean.
Chief Minister said that social organizations are doing good work in this direction. He said that multi-dimensional efforts are required to maintain unhindered flow of Ganga and Yamuna. He said that we have to keep alive all the sub-tributaries and streams, which form these two rivers.
Under Yamuna Bachao drive, the volunteers of Anmol Gram Swaraj Sansthan and Shiv Shakti Ram Charit Sewa will carry out cleanliness drive at all the ghats of Yamuna river for three days.
