Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated a ‘Mini Conclave’ held at Bhimtal to attract investments in film shooting and tourism, today. It is to be mentioned that an ‘Investors Summit’ is being organized on October 7 and 8 in Dehradun which would be inaugurated by Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.
Addressing the investors, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that Uttarakhand is bestowed with natural beauty and besides tremendous opportunities of investment, the state attracts tourism for its bio-diversity. He said that Ganga, Patal Bhuvaneshwar, Kedarnath, Badrinath, Gangotri and Yamunotri are the spiritual centres which are centre of attr4action for the tourists. He said that his government aims to achieve overall development of the state while conserving our traditions, modesty and environment.
Chief Minister Mr,.Trivendra Singh Rawat said that his government has given industry status to tourism which would boost tourism strengthening the economy of the common people with creation of employment opportunities, checking migration from the hills.
He said that Uttarakhand is bestowed with tremendous natural beauty and its scenic beauty had always been favourable for film shooting. He said that it was his effort to coordinate tourism and film industry and take the state on the path of new development.
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the main aim of the conclave is to throw light to the investment opportunities in the state and attract participants in the “Destination Uttarakhand Investors Summit” 2018. He said that there are huge opportunities in the present several projects of the state. He said that efforts are being made to link the remote areas of the state through air services. He said that through ‘UDAAN’ project, air services are being started from Pantnagar, Jollygrant, Chinyalisaur, Naini-Saini and Srinagar from October 4. He said that more places in the state are being identified to start air services.
Chief Minister said that there is peaceful atmosphere in the state for industry, tourism and film industry. He said that his government has been constantly working to promote and encourage industry. He said that huge investments are expected in medical and ropeway areas during the “Investors Summit” on October 7 and 8. He said that the state government has exempted film shooting tax to promote film industry in the state. All the formalities of getting permission for film shooting are being provided under a single window within a week. He said that his government is committed for the development of tourism and film industry in the state.
Principal Secretary Manisha Panwar said that concerted efforts are being made to take advantage of the beauty of Uttarakhand and make it popular tourist and film shooting destination. She said that the single window clearance system has been implemented. Through this system, filmmakers are easily getting permission to shoot films, so that film production can be promoted in the state and filmmakers can get attracted to film shooting in the state.
Secretary, Tourism, Dilip Jawalkar said that the main objective behind the Conclave was to attract the participation of the industrialists towards the Investors Summit 2018 and to throw light on the investment opportunities in the state. He said that conclave has received a very good response and people associated with the film shooting and tourism sector in the state participated in a large number. There are immense opportunities for investment in many projects in the state. Like development of ropeway, development of Tehri Lake, International Convention Center in Rishikesh, Heli Taxi and Safari, development of Auli for skiers, development of modern Ayush and Yoga Center, hospital and other projects. He said that in order to reduce the pressure of traffic at hill tourist sites, proceedings for making ropeways from Dehradun to Mussoorie and to Kaladungi and Ranibagh to Nainital are also under progress.
Director Industries and Managing Director SIIDCUL Saujanya said that Investors Summit is being organized at selected places in the state to encourage new investors in the state. She said that apart from the big industrial areas, industrial areas have also been identified in the small towns of the state. Wherein the entrepreneurs and industrialists, along with cottage industries, can set up small industries of mushrooms, herbs, honey, pickle marmalade packing. Which includes, food processing, horticulture and allied activities, tourism and hospitality, wellness and Ayush, pharmaceuticals, automobiles, silk and natural fiber, IT, renewal energy, biotechnology and film shooting. She has appealed to the people to invest in this area and send their proposal to the government.

Former Cabinet Minister and MLA Banshidhar Bhagat, MLA Ram Singh Kaida, District President Pradeep Bisht, Film Producer Director Vivek Agnihotri, Chief NFDC, Government of India Vikramjit Roy, Owner of Lake Resort Mahendra Verma, Owner of Rose Kanda Home Stay Jeevan Verma, Secretary Paragliding Association Shankar Singh, Commissioner Kumaon Division Rajiv Rautela, District Magistrate Vinod Kumar Suman and industrialists, entrepreneurs and filmmakers in large number were present on the occasion.
