CM Rawat inaugurates Srijan 2018 – annual fest of J.B. Institute of Technology

Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat started the “Srijan 2018” annual function of the J.B. Institute of Technology, Dehradun by lighting a lamp. On this occasion, the Chief Minister also inaugurated the Annual Project Exhibition “Techzone” organized by the students. The CM also presented the Academic Awards of the Institution on this occasion. While appreciating the programme presented by the students as well as the exhibition, the CM said that he is very happy that in the Institute, students from 25 states besides Bhutan, Nepal and Tibet have come for study purpose. He said that today’s programme gives an impression of a mini India. While welcoming all the students, who had come from outside the state, the CM said that local people and fellow students should take special care of these students, so that they can take away good memories from here.

Recalling his visit to village Ghease in the previous year, the Chief Minister said that hospital, schools, electricity, and internet etc. facilities were not there in the village, but now the village is completely digitalized.  He said that with the efforts of the state government, the remote village Ghease has been connected with the Apollo hospital with tele-medicine facility. He said that online classes has been started in the schools of the village. He said that three remotely situated villages have been digitalized in the last one year. He hoped that students would work towards ‘Digital India’, which is the dream project of Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi.

The CM has said that India is agriculture based country. He said that Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has set a target to double the income of farmers in the country and youths can play a pivotal role in this regard. He said that institution has been laying special focus on horticulture, aromatic and organic farming. He said youth can play an important role for the realization of the dream of making ‘Digital India’. He urged students to visit villages to acquaint themselves with practical knowledge. On this occasion, BJP Mahanagar President Vinay Goyal and Institute chairman LD Singhal were also present.
