CM Rawat inaugurates state-of-art laboratory at Government Girls Inter College, Rajpur Road

Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the newly constructed laboratory complex at Government Girls Inter College, Rajpur Road. Assistance for the laboratory was provided by the Rodic Consultancy Private Limited from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funds. In the complex, state-of-art laboratories for Physics, Chemistry and Biology have been made. Chief Minister has said that state-of-art laboratories would also be set up in some other schools having high student strength. On experiment basis, this has been started from Government Girls Inter College, Rajpur Road. He said that for doing scientific experiments, these laboratories would remain open for students for 12 hours a day. He said that IIT Mumbai engineers have made a online devise named K-Yan. Through this devise, students in hundreds of schools could be provided teaching online. He added that K-Yan devise has been installed at Government Pre-Secondary School, Dehra on Rajpur Road. In some other schools also, this devise would be installed.

Chief Minister said that state government is making efforts for the qualitative improvement in the education sector. He said that for 12 students, one teacher in deputed in Uttarakhand, which is much better as compared to other states. Mr. Rawat said that six months after he became the Chief Minister, he had sent IAS officers to the schools in order to gather information about the needs of the schools and their basic requirements. IAS officers went to the schools and interacted with the students and listened to their problems. During the tour of the officials, various suggestions regarding the requirements of the schools were received. Chief Minister said that with setting up of this Lab, the students would understand science and experimental aspects of the technique in a better way.

Education Minister Mr. Arvind Pandey said that to strengthen the schools, contribution from everyone is very important. He said that along with their responsibility to make the future of the students bright, the teachers would also have to contribute socially. He said that Chief Minister has a vision that upliftment of education should be done in the schools that lack resources. On this occasion, Director General School Education Captain Alok Shekhar Tiwari, Rodic Consultancy Private Limited CEO major General (Retd) Neeraj Bali, Director SCERT Seema Jaunsari and Government Girls Inter College, Rajpur Road Principal Premlata Badoi were present.
