CM Rawat reviews the issues of division of assets and liabilities between UP-Uttarakhand

Dehradun: A meeting presided over by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat held at secretariat reviewed the issue of divisions of assets and liabilities between Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. Chief Minister directed the officials that all those departments where matters pertaining to division of assets and liabilities are pending should be documented so that those issues could be discussed seriously and solution found in the next meeting with Uttar Pradesh.

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat reviewing the pending issues department wise, instructed that the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has given his consent in handing over properties in the matter.  So, all these issues should be reviewed thoroughly so that in the next meeting with Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh proposed to be held in July, a decision to find a lasting solution on the issues of division of assets and liabilities could be taken. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that efforts should also be made to find a solution of those matters of division of assets with mutual consent of both states which are pending in the courts so that those could also be resolved expeditiously.

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that the issue of getting money under the head of pension from Uttar Pardesh since 2011 has to be resolved between the Accountant Generals of Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh. He said that a meeting between the Accountant Generals of both the states and Chief Ministers should be arranged.

 He also directed that the issues of loan from LIC for Maneri Bhali hydro-electric project, 25 per cent share to Uttarakhand from THDC and resolution of issue of interest rates of various departments should be re-sent to Government of India.

He also directed that details of the payment of electricity bills of Barrages, Provident Fund amount of employees should be prepared so that these issues could be resolved in the next meeting with Uttar Pradesh.

Both the states have to resolve the issues of division of assets and liabilities in the power, irrigation, transport, tourism, Food and Supplies, Forest Corporation, Finance, Industrial department and Awas-Vikas departments. The Chief Minister directed that department wise details should be prepared.

Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Ranveer Singh, Principal Secretary Manisha Panwar, Anand Vardhan, Secretary Finance Amit Negi, Secretary Transport D. Senthil Pandian and other departmental officials were present in the meeting.
