Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has condoled the death of famous writer song writer and poet recipient of ‘Padam Shri’ and ‘Padam Bhushan’ awards Gopal Dass Neeraj. He prayed for the peace of the departed soul and grant of patience to the family of the deceased.
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has termed the death of Gopal Dass Neeraj as an irreparable loss to the literary field. He said that Late Neeraj through his poetry brought honors to Hindi literature besides getting famous as a song writer in films. “Kaaranva Gujar Gaya, Gubar Dekhte Rahe,” is one of his famous poems. Chief Minister said that Late Gopal Dass Neeraj was bestowed with ‘Padam Shri’ and ‘Padam Bhushan’ and ‘Filmfare’ awards for his contribution to Hindi literature and writing memorable songs in films.
