Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat paid floral tributes at the statue of Maharana Partap at Inter-state Bus Terminus (ISBT) on the 479th birth anniversary of Veer Shiromani Maharan Partap.
Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that Veer Shiromani Maharana Partap is a one of the best heroes of the Indian people. He said that despite facing odds, he defended his honour and showed bravery with utmost affection for his motherland. The Chief Minister said that Maharana Partap left the riches of his kingdom and made immense sacrifices for the defence of his people. He said that the character of Maharana Partap is a motivation for the youth. Remembering the horse of Maharana Partap, Chetak, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat said that without mention of Chetak, the story of Maharana Partap is incomplete. He said that Chetak is a symbol of cognition and intelligence.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) general secretary Naresh Bansal, City President Vinay Goyal and Rattan Singh Chauhan were present on the occasion.
