CM says that timely detection of cancer is important

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat participated in a cancer camp jointly organised by Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Yuva Manch, and Loins Club Dehradun at Hindu National College, Dehradun on Saturday. He inaugurated the mobile cancer screening centre van during the function. The mobile van has equipment for detection of cancer. The Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat said on the occasion that it is a noble step for organizing camp and to create awareness on cancer among people.  He said diseases can be avoided by remaining aware and timely detection is important to fight against cancer. He said that it is hard to diagnose the disease in the first phase. He appreciated Akhil Bharatiya Marwari Yuva Manch’s effort to hold cancer and awareness camps in the country. The Chief Minister said that the state government has taken steps to improve medical facilities in the state in the last one year.  He said more than 1100 doctors have been appointed and 37 hospitals were connected with tele-medicine and tele-radiology. He said further said that approximately 25 lakh pilgrims undertake pilgrimage in the state and  tele-medicine facility would be started in Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri, and Yamunotri.

BJP leader Anil Goyal, Vinay Goyal, Sunil Uniyal Gama, Naresh Bansal, Surendra Agarwal were present during the camp.
