CM Trivendra Singh Rawat met Pantnagar university vice chancellor Prof Mishra

Dehradun: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat met Pantnagar University Vice-Chancellor Prof A.K. Mishra at his official residence, here on Friday. He apprised the Chief Minister about the awards received by the university and it’s current ranking. Congratulating Prof Mishra, the Chief Minister urged him to work continuously to maintain the high reputation of the  university.

Prof Mishra apprised the Chief Minister that Govind Ballabh Pant Agriculture and Technology University bagged Governor’s Best University award for third consecutive year. The Uttarakhand Governor Dr. K.K. Paul had felicitated Pantnagar University registrar Dr A.P Sharma with the award at a function held at Raj Bhawan recently. A certificate of appreciation, a running trophy, and Rs two lakh was given for the library of the university by the state Governor. The university was awarded with Governor’s Best University award for the first time in 2016 against 2015 academic term.

Prof Mishra informed that Union Agriculture Minister Rahda Mohan Singh felicitated the university with “Mahindra Samridhi Agri Award-2018” award, which was hosted by Mahindra and Mahindra Limited at a function held in New Delhi on March 07 for its contribution in the field of agriculture. He said Time higher education has ranked Pantnagar University at 350 place in Asia in 2018, while university stood at 41st place amongst the universities of the country.
