Congress can never win elections under Rahul Gandhi, says Haryana CM Khattar

Haryana Chief Minister M L Khattar today fired a fresh salvo at Congress president Rahul Gandhi saying that the party can never win under his leadership.

Khattar hailed BJP’s performance in Karnataka elections and said that the party will form government at the Centre after the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

“The Congress should change its name to Punjab-Puducherry-Parivar Party because now it is ruling only 2.5 per cent of the population. Till the time the Congress is under the leadership of Rahul Gandhi, it can never succeed,” Khattar said.

While addressing party workers in Panchkula in Haryana, he said that Gandhi should abandon his prime ministerial ambitions not only for 2019 but also for 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

He said that BJP has been on a forward march since 1996 and now 70 per cent of the states are ruled by BJP and its allies.

CONGRESS-FREE INDIA

“Prime Minister Narendra Modis vision of Congress-free India is being realised. During the time of Atal Bihari Vajpayee, the BJP government came to power at the Centre under an agreement for 13 days but lasted for 13 months and later for four-and-a-half years,” Khattar said

Referring to a ‘Saffron wave’ in the country, Khattar said that the Congress has never been on such a winning streak.

“The BJP should maintain this zeal, enthusiasm and faith, and with this trust, we should get ready for the elections to be held at the Centre in May, 2019, and in Haryana in October 2019,” Khattar said.

Khattar has returned from a nine-day tour of Israel and UK. He held discussions with NRIs, businessmen and investors there to attract more investment in Haryana. India Today
