Dehradun: Chief Secretary Mr. Utpal Kumar Singh and DGP Mr. Anil Kumar Raturi reviewed the preparations being made at the International Cricket Stadium, Raipur, Dehradun. Preparations for the first Global Investors Summit in Uttarakhand scheduled to be held on October 7-8 are on at war footing. After reviewing the preparations, the Chief Secretary while talking to the media said that the preparations are going on according to the plan. All the departments are discharging their responsibilities in a committed manner. Investors Summit is getting good response. MoUs are constantly being signed for investment. So far, MoUs of about Rs. 45,000 crore have been signed.
Chief Secretary said that representatives from countries like Singapore, Japan, Czech Republic etc. will be coming to the Investors Summit. Communication and Information Minister of Singapore Mr. S. Iswaran has also expressed his desire to attend the conference. He said that in order to attract investment, the Uttarakhand government has amended the Mega Industrial and Investment Policy 2015. Apart from this, Electric Vehicle Manufacturing Policy, Information, Communication Technology and Electronics Policy, Start Up Policy, facilities for Aroma Parks, Bio Technology Policy, Policy for Energy Generation from Pine Needle and Other Bio-Mass like many policies have been formulated.
Significantly, Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi will address the Investors Summit on October 07. The inaugural session will be addressed by MD of Amul Dairy Mr. R.S.
