Nottingham: India hold their upper hand in the second Test as they wrapped up Day 2 with a mammoth lead of 292 runs, thanks to a consolidate batting show and Hardik Pandya’s five-wicket haul.
After bowling out the hosts for 189, KL Rahul and Shikhar Dhawan once again started bright upfront with a fifty run stand before Ben Stokes got the better of the former.
Up came Cheteshwar Pujara, who built another vital fifty partnership with the southpaw. However, Adil Rashid bamboozled the southpaw to deny him a half-century.
With Virat Kohli and Pujara in the middle, the visitors are in a dominating position and will look to build on the lead. DC
