Infosys board, which is seeing one of its lowest tally ever in terms of membership, is expected to induct fresh members soon.
Currently, the company has eight members in the board, including its Non-Executive Chairman Nandan Nilekani and Interim CEO and MD UB Pravin Rao. It has six independent directors — Rupa Kudva, Punita Kumar-Sinha, Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, DN Prahlad, D Sundaram and Ravi Venkatesan.
With Parekh joining on January 2, 2018, the board count will go up to nine members, as he would be part of the board as well.
According to sources in the know, the company would be soon inducting three more members on the board to take the board strength to 12.
If the sources are to be believed, IT behemoth’s current CFO MD Ranganath is one of the probable members, who could be inducted into the board. The company, which has a history of having one foreign board member, is said to be not keen on having any foreigner this time.
