Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat has said that along with preservation of our traditions, Gharat will now be the new attraction center for the tourists. With Gharat Hub initiative, large number of employment opportunities for the youth will be created. Devbhoomi Prasad Yojna is being expanded at Haridwar, Almora and all religious places of the state with the help of local women. While appreciating the works of food processing, skill development, rural entrepreneurship, women empowerment, promotion of local products, environment protection and plantation, being done by the HESCO, the Chief Minister congratulated their whole team and extended his wishes. Chief Minister said that team spirit is very essential for the successful implementation of the schemes. Team Spirit has an important role in achieving excellent results. He said that remote hill areas will witness progress by connecting large numbers of local women and youth with the enterprises based on local resources. With the coordination between the people doing social work and the government, the state can get better results in development. Work has been started on the work plan of 650 Growth Centers at Block level by the State Government.
Along with LED training to the women Self Help Groups, the government has also started LED Bulb distribution to them. Chief Minister said that the government’s Devbhoomi Prasad initiative has been very successful. So far, Rs 130 crore prasad has been sold by the women groups at Sri Kedarnath Dham. Along with the women self-reliance and empowerment, Devbhoomi Prasad Yojana has lead to the strengthening of the local economy. Devbhoomi Prasad Yojna is being expanded at Haridwar, Almora and all religious places of the state with the help of local women. Our rural women have traditional creative skills.
Special focus is being laid by the government on the production and marketing of products based on local traditional crops, herbs and other food products. Our local products are our identity and invaluable heritage. Under the rejuvenation mission of Rispana and Kosi rivers, a massive tree plantation campaign will be started by the state government with the active participation of the people. He informed that the state government has set a target to plant one lakh saplings in Almora in an hour. Not only Rispana and Kosi rivers will be rejuvenated by intensive plantation but these sites will also be developed as new tourist attraction centers. The construction work of Song Dam will be completed in 365 working days. Song Dam will ensure gravity based water supply in Dehradun. Along with it, there is a plan to develop 25 watermills. Along with preservation of our traditions, these Gharat Hubs will now be the new attraction center for the tourists. With Gharat Hub initiative, large number of employment opportunities for the youth will be created. Chief Minister also planted trees in the HESCO premises.
