Government proposes to establish more Science Centres/Cities/museums in all the States of the country: Dr. Mahesh Sharma

New Delhi: The Ministry of Culture operates Scheme for Promotion of Culture of Science (SPOCS) which provides for setting up of Science Cities and Science Centres in all the States of the country subject to availability of funds for the purpose. States willing to avail of this Scheme have to provide land and share the cost of setting up of facility and corpus for upkeep and maintenance.

The details of Science Cities set up in the country are as under.

  1. Science City, Kolkata, West Bengal
  2. Pushpa Gujral Science City, Kapurtala, Punjab
  3. Science City, Ahmedabad, Gujarat
  4. Regional Science City, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh
