Gujarat delegation calls upon CM Rawat to invite him for ‘Statue of Unity’ unveiling ceremony

Dehradun: A delegation from Gujarat called upon Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat at his official residence here on Friday and invited him to participate in the unveiling ceremony of ‘Statue of Unity’ scheduled on October 31, 2018.

The delegation comprised Gujarat Food and Supplies Minister Jayesh Bhai Radadia, legislator Mukesh Patel, Raman Bhai Patel, Karsan Bhai Solanki, Yogesh Bhai Patel, Secretary Mohammad Shahid, Director General of Police T. S. Bisht and Joint Secretary Industry B.S. Mehta.

The delegation also made a presentation through a film about the 182 meter tall statue of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat terming Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel as a great patriot, able administrator and great politician said that ‘Statue of Unity’ will be a unique identity of the united India. He termed this ambitious project of Prime Minister as an inspiration for the common people. Describing Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel as a historical personality, he said that his contribution in the unity of the country will remain unforgettable.

Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat praised the initiative of Prime Minister in the reconstruction and support of Kedarnath dham. He said that due to interest shown by the Prime Minister, the development of infrastructure at Kedarnath has developed at a faster pace and the numbers of pilgrims have increased. The delegation informed that around the ‘Statue of Unity’, guest houses of each state will be constructed.

 Gujarat Food and Civil Supplies Minister Jayesh Bhai Radadia presented a shawl of Gujarat and a replica of statue of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel to Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat. Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat presented the delegation members with shawls and replica of Kedarnath dham. Legislator Khazan Dass was preset on the occasion
