Dehradun: A meeting presided by Harak Singh Rawat, Cabinet Minister Forests and Wildlife, Environmental and Solid Waste Management, Labour, Employment, Industrial Training, Ayush & Ayush Education with the representatives from industry was held at Vidhan Sabha office on Tuesday. The minister said that Industries should work with government together in skill development, labour and environmental concerns. He said that working with the government will lead to providing skilled labour as per the Industrial markets demands which will lead to increase in productivity.
The Minister said that the industries should work together with the government in making the ITI’s much more productive qualitatively. He said that a cluster of 2 ITI’s can be created to increase the quality of the ITI,s and instead of creating an army of unemployed people we will be able to create skilled labour force. The minister said that we are running our institution in accordance with the labour laws. He urged the Industrialists to come forward to conserve the biodiversity and environment too. He said that plantation drive should eb carried near industrial areas and a green belt should be created. He said all the labour force should be provided health safety through ESI.
The representatives form industry and officials from Labour Department of Haridwar, Udhamsingh Nagar, Dehradun were present on the occasion.
