Bengaluru: AB de Villiers explosive knock of 90 runs from 39 balls at M Chinnaswamy stadium ensured RCB registered a comfortable 6 wicket win over Delhi Daredevils on Saturday.
Needing 175 runs for victory, RCB had a poor start to their innings with Manan Vohra and Quinton de Kock departing early. Virat Kohli (30 runs of 26 ball) and AB de Villiers put on 63 run stand between them and looked to take the game away from the visitors. Their march towards victory was halted for sometime as Trent Boult produced a one handed stunning catch at the boundary line to dismiss Virat.
Corey Anderson (15 runs of 13 balls) alongwith AB de Villiers put on 56 run stand for the 4th wicket to take the home team closer to victory. Anderson was finally bowled by Trent Boult, but the effort seemed too little too late as de Villiers ensured there was no further hiccups in the run chase.
