IPL 2018: All-round KKR beat hosts by 31 runs, climb to top 4

Indore: Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defended their best-ever highest total in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they beat Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by 31 runs to boost their qualification hopes.

The hosts got off to a good start in the run chase, but soon losat Chris Gayle (21 runs) and Mayank Agarwal (9) in two consecutive balls in the sixth over.

Lokesh Rahul (66) and Aaron Finch (34) were the top contributors for the 2014 finalists, but soon both of them walked back to the pavilion.

With this win, KKR have got back to the top four in the IPL table, whereas KXIP were handed their fifth loss of the season.
