Bengaluru: Rajasthan Royals (RR) picked up their second Indian Premier League (IPL) 2018 win after beating Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by 30 runs at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Sunday.
After the hosts won the toss and opted to field, RR posted a massive 217 on board thanks to Sanju Samson’s thrilling 92-run knock.
During the chase, RCB lost Brendon McCullum early on but from there on Virat Kohli and Quinton de Kock steered the innings.
D’Arcy Short broke the partnership by dismissing the South African batsman and then Shreyas Gopal piled further pressure with wickets of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. The visitors never let RCB get back into the game and cruised to an easy victory in the end. (DC)
