An army soldier was killed and two injured in an encounter between security forces and terrorists in the Keran sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district today morning.
A terrorist was killed in the gun-battle broke out at the Choken Post in Keran sector near the Line of Control at around 7.30 am, officials said. The encounter is currently underway, officials added.
Yesterday, a soldier and three terrorists of the Pakistani Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) were killed in two gunfights in Kupwara district, police and army soldiers confirmed. (Wion)
