Rajinikanth starred latest south Indian movie ‘Kaala’ has been released on 7th June this year. The Tamil language action flick, which features Nana Patekar and Huma Qureshi in the major roles, received huge response from the audiences in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil offering faced protests in Karnataka. Although the film’s release was hindered in the Kannada speaking region, the movie has managed to turn millions of eyeballs.
Featuring Indian megastar Shivaji Gayakwad in the main role, the action celluloid received positive response from the audiences as well as the critics. Plenty of film critics praised the actor’s performance in this movie which is based on the life of a gangster. Directed by Pa. Ranjith, the political thriller flick is expected to earn a huge amount of Rs 30 crore as its box office collection on first day of its release.
Rajinikanth’s previous movie ‘Kabali’ had performed extraordinarily at the box office. The south Indian offering had minted a collection of Rs 21.7 crore on the opening day. As the leading superstar has massive fan following in the southern part of India, his movies always receive tremendous response from the people in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala.
The superstar’s latest film has opened on a positive note in Indian arena. The celluloid is also getting a good response in foreign countries. If it manages to maintain consistency in its performance at domestic box office as well as in the international arena, it will enter Rs 100 crore club in first weekend.
