The State government is planning to recommend to the Centre banning at least two trouble-making organisations that were involved in the recent communal tension in the coastal parts of Karnataka.
“The Popular Front of India and the Hindu Jagran Vedike were largely behind the violence in Dakshina Kannada. There are strong grounds for banning these organisations,” a source said. The Home department is preparing a report on this, which will be sent to the Centre recommending these organisations be banned.
