Dehradun: Chief Minister Mr. Trivendra Singh Rawat inaugurated the Veer Bhad Madho Singh Bhandari musical drama by lighting a traditional lamp at the Parade Ground on Saturday. The drama was staged on the historical saga of heroism, valour, sacrifice and development of Veer Bhad Madho Singh Bhandari by the Parvatiya Natya Manch.
Chief Minister congratulated and greeted the artists and Parvatiya Natya Manch on the occasion. Chief Minister said that a musical staging of Veer Bhad Madho Singh Bhandari drama has been prepared beautifully. Chief Minister said that the songs of Veer Bhad Madho Singh Bhandari are being sung from hundreds of years in our folk songs. Many of our institutions are after his name. He said that one is the biggest sacrifice of anybody in the world is for farming, it is of Veer Bhad Madho Singh Bhandari. About 400 years ago Veer Bhad Madho Singh Bhandari had made a of tunnel of water without any modern technology. With his sense of dedication, sacrifice, intelligence and devotion towards the society, he made a tunnel in Maletha. He sacrificed his son to keep the fields green. He was not only a skilled commander but also a skilled engineer. Chief Minister said that statue of Veer Bhad Madho Singh Bhandari has been constructed according to his dignity in Maletha.
Chief Minister said that the life of Veer Bhad Madho Singh Bhandari will always give us inspiration. The new generation will always learn from him. He said that an indelible impression of the personality of Veer Bhad Madho Singh Bhandari is there in the history and for 400 years, this impression is becoming strong in the history.
