Dehradun: Sanskriti Yuva Sanstha, has honoured Uttarakhand Urban Development Minister and official spokesperson Madan Kaushik for his achievements in social, cultural and political fields with Life Time Achievement and ‘Bharat Gaurav’ award. The award was received by his son Ayush Kaushik as his representative at a function held at House of Commons, London on April 13. Madan Kaushik could not attend the function due to his official pre-occupations. Speaking on the occasion after receiving the award, Ayush Kaushik said that it was a matter of great honour and pride that Haridwar district of Uttarakhand from India has been selected for this award. He said that Uttarakhand is known for its’ natural beauty and environment and river Ganga attracts people from around the globe to the holy land. He further said that the continuous uninterrupted flow of Goddess Ganga is our inspiration.
In his message which was read on the occasion, Madan Kaushik said it is a proud moment for him to receive this Life Time achievement award. He said that he has got an opportunity to contribute as a humble servant in the development of Uttarakhand state and was feeling blessed by Ganga Maa and Dev Bhoomi to be honoured on this occasion. Madan Kaushik further said that without the love and support of his countrymen and the residents of blessed place of Haridwar which is home to Holy river Ganga, it would not have been possible for him. He thanked the organizing committee, fellow countrymen, residents of Haridwar and Uttarakhand for this Life Time Achievement award. (ends)
