Dehradun: Minister of State for Women Welfare and Child Development, Animal Husbandry, Sheep and Goat Husbandry, Fodder and Meadows Development & Fisheries Rekha Arya discussed on the modalities to organizes Animal Fair in form of Pashu Kauthik Mela at Pantnagar from the month of November with the members of PHD Chambers of Commerce and Uttarakhand Government, at Vidhan Sabha office on Friday.
It was told in relation to Pashu Kauthik Mela that the objective of the fair will be to improve the breed of the animals and increase the income of farmers. The fair is proposed in the first week of November and it will be organised PHD Chambers of Commerce Uttarakhand Government. Three awards will be presented to the best animals and the animal breeders w and the produce form the animals will be made basis for the competition. Badri cow, cow, goats and sheep’s produce will also be included in the fair.
The objective of the fair is to provide information about innovative and cheap techniques in animal farming and attract others towards the animal farming.
Secretary animal husbandry R Meenakshi Sundaram, director PHD Chamber of commerce Malika Verma, regional director Anil Taneja and vishal Jindal, additional director Garhwal Mandal Pauri Dr Ashok Kumar, joint director Dr GD Joshi, Dr Neeraj Singham, Dr Sandeep Rawat, Dr Sunil Awasthi and PS Yadav, chief executive officer ULDB Dehradun Dr MS Nyayal, Chief Executive Officer and others were present on the occasion.
